Texas highway accident kills one, injures two others

According to New Braunfels police, a 2-vehicle accident killed one person and injured two others. The accident took place on Highway 46 South close to the Guadalupe Valley Cemetery. The police report stated that a Chevy pickup truck with a flatbed trailer in tow, T-boned a 4-door sedan as it attempted to turn onto the highway.

The three occupants of the car sustained critical injuries in the auto accident. Two people were airlifted to a San Antonio hospital. The third was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The sedan driver later died of her injuries. The affected portion of Highway 46 was closed for over an hour so that EMS could tend to the victims and a rescue helicopter could land. Later, the road was partially re-opened while police conducted their accident investigation.

A sudden accidental death may leave a family in emotional and financial distress. It might be a welcome relief to family members to turn their case over to an attorney. While the family copes with their loss, a personal injury attorney may be able to take care of most details pertaining to compensation for the family.

This may include filing a wrongful death lawsuit and negotiating with insurance companies. Distraught family members may not be in a position to fight with insurance companies in order to get the compensation that they need. A dedicated and experienced attorney may be able to take on the insurance companies and get a much better settlement for their client. A substantial settlement may go a long way toward helping families on their road to recovery following the loss of their loved one.
