Texas auto accident leaves 1 dead, 3 injured

One person died and three others were injured in an auto accident that occurred in Travis County on Aug. 23. The accident involved two vehicles and happened at approximately 9 p.m. on Texas 71 at Pace Bend Road. Texas 71 ended up being closed down because of the crash and the following investigation.

Nursing home accused of worngful death

A Port Arthur, Texas, nursing home has been accused of letting a man die from dehydration, malnutrition and severely infected pressure ulcers, according to a lawsuit. The plaintiffs said that the man was not given enough water and developed the ulcers during a six-week stay at the nursing facility.

The FDA recently released a statement about the safety of laser toys that may be of interest to Texas parents. The statement claims that these toys may be dangerous to the eyesight of those who come into contact with them. When dealing with any potentially dangerous product, it is important for parents to be as cautious as possible and understand the risks the product poses to their child.

FDA issues warning about dietary supplement

Texas residents should be aware that the FDA released a warning about Healthy Life Chemistry By Purity First B-50. Tests have shown that this may be a dangerous product because it contains steroids that are not listed on the ingredients panel on the bottle. Doctors are being asked to warn their patients to not use steroidal products and be on the lookout for signs of steroid use, which include liver and kidney damage.
