Texas auto accident leaves 1 dead, 3 injured

One person died and three others were injured in an auto accident that occurred in Travis County on Aug. 23. The accident involved two vehicles and happened at approximately 9 p.m. on Texas 71 at Pace Bend Road. Texas 71 ended up being closed down because of the crash and the following investigation.

According to emergency dispatch reports, three people were trapped inside the vehicles and had to be extracted from them. Two of the people were flown via medical helicopter to University Medical Center Brackenridge, and one was transported via ambulance to the same facility.

Civil lawsuits could be filed by the people who were injured. Additionally, the family of the person who died in the accident could decide to pursue civil action. Whoever ends up being deemed responsible for the auto accident could end up having to pay compensation to any plaintiffs who choose to file a lawsuit against them.

There are various damages that people might seek compensation for after they are involved in an auto accident. First of all, they might seek reimbursement for any hospital bills and other medical expenses they incurred as a result of their injuries. Additionally, they might want to be reimbursed for any wages that were lost because of time they had to miss from work.

Personal injury lawyers could be able to help people determine whether or not they meet the eligibility criteria to file a personal injury lawsuit. If they do find that they have grounds for a claim, they might be able to help them negotiate claims settlements with the defendants or their insurance companies.
