2-car accident kills former UTEP actor

A two-car accident early Friday, July 18, claimed the life of a former University of Texas - El Paso Dinner Theatre actor and left two other individuals with injuries. Officials at the scene of the auto accident say the 27-year-old man was trapped in his vehicle following the collision.

Driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel before fatal crash

One person died and two others were injured in a head-on collision that occurred in Texas on July 9. The incident took place near Graytown around 6 p.m. where County Road 126 and F.M. 2579 intersect. A sergeant with the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol said the crash happened after a 21-year-old male driving a Dodge Ram pickup southbound on F.M. 2579 fell asleep behind the wheel. The pickup truck veered into the northbound lanes and crashed into a Honda Pilot.

Police investigate driver after fatal Texas crash

Some Galveston residents may have heard about an accident that left nine people injured and one dead near San Marcos. The incident occurred on July 4. The victim was transported to Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos after the car crash, but he was pronounced dead some time later. Police say that a 20-year-old man may be charged with intoxication manslaughter pending the results of their investigation.

Motorcycle manufacturer sued after couple is seriously injured

A Texas couple is suing over claims that their motorcycle did not come with sufficient safety features. The pair filed a lawsuit June 16 in the Marshall Division of the Eastern District of Texas against Harley-Davidson Inc., citing product liability. In the complaint, the product manufacturer is also accused of failure to warn of a product defect and negligence.
