Why is the number of Texas auto-pedestrian accidents rising?

In 2010, the Texas Department of Transportation started keeping records on how many people were killed in the state in auto-pedestrian accidents. Since that time, the number of people killed has risen 36 percent. The number of people killed in all traffic fatalities has also risen -- 15 percent since 2010. These increases are not inline with national numbers, which have either remained the same or fallen.

The safe driving advice truckers give -- and should follow, too
